Toosii is well aware of his knack for creating baby-makin’ music. When we asked the “Love Cycle” singer about the mood of “Favorite Song,” his trap-ballad that’s currently dominating hip-hop and R&B charts, his answer was quick and self-aware. “You should feel like you wanna be in love,” he said, and added with a sly grin, “pretty sure that’s the typical Toosii answer.” The North Carolina native then emphasized that “Favorite Song” is “for all ages” – auntie, the baby, and grandma will dig it just as much as a lover. There’s plenty of lusty moments on his new ‘NAUJOUR’ album, a sign that he’ll always be down to get down. But there’s more of that consciousness about his brand throughout, such as “Another Love Song.” The title says it all. And that performance – plus this extra-genuine run through the big hit – definitely reveals one key fact: The man knows how to sing from the heart. A certain member of The Beatles once said the world will never get enough silly love songs, and Toosii proves there’s nothing wrong with that.
