How Golovkin was severely shaken in the 2nd round. A fight that shocked the whole world

Perhaps the main event of this month in the world of boxing took place in the UK capital at the O2 Arena – a duel between 34-year-old Kazakh knockout Gennady Golovkin (36-0-0, 33 KO) and 30-year-old Briton Kell Brook (36-1-0, 25 KO). Golovkin’s WBC, IBF and IBO championship belts were at stake in the fight.

But the WBA title was not played in this fight. The reason for this was that Brook, who holds the title of IBF world welterweight champion, decided to go up two weight categories at once in order to clash with Golovkin.

Not only the WBA boxing organization, but also many other representatives of the boxing community believed that such a fight would simply be dangerous for the health of the Briton.
