Dozens of fans, family and friends gathered inside Rome’s Fiumicino airport on Monday, to greet Italian athlete and Olympic gold medalist Lamont Marcell Jacobs.

“It’s great to see all of you waiting for me. It’s something incredible yet, all the sacrifices I made every day to bring great results to me and my nation were not lost,” he said.

Jacobs embraced family members and fans, after returning with two gold medals in the Tokyo 2020 men’s 100m and 4x100m relay.

“I have always believed in my dreams that has always been with the gold medal in the top step at an Olympics and it has happened twice. So, what about always believing in dreams that everything is possible to return to normal,” he added.
