Protocol broken to honour Queen Elizabeth II
Tonight we watched the late Queens grandchildren hold a vigil in honour of their beloved grandmother.
Prince Harry due to protocol should not have been allowed to wear his military uniform even though he served in the military for about 10 years and also had duty in Afghanistan.
Why? He is no longer a working royal
But his father King Charles III requested that he be allowed to wear his military uniform with his brother the Prince of Wales tonight. The protocol was only broken for tonight.
He will not be wearing his military uniform at the Queens funeral on Monday.
This shows that protocols can be broken, it’s not rigid and fixed in stone. Exceptions can be made when they need to be made.
I can only imagine how this made Prince Harry feel being allowed this singular honour.
There’s an office and there’s the person
Prince Harry was still going to hold the vigil whether or not he was allowed to wear his military uniform and this says something to us all.
Show up because you never know, protocol might just be broken for your sake. It might have been set in stone but remember the scripture that says I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion Romans 9: 15.
Don’t lose an opportunity because of an office.
Yes you messed up
Yes you’ve made mistakes
SHOW UP… YOU JUST MIGHT BE SHOWN MERCY
Good evening ladies
