Team USA sets a world record in the last swimming race of Tokyo 2020

In the men’s 4×100 meter medley relay, the Americans won gold and broke a world record, bringing the swimming activities in Tokyo 2020 to a close.

Team USA won the race in 3:26.78, 0.73 seconds ahead of Great Britain in second. With a timing of 3:29.17, Italy was awarded bronze. The Americans have won this race in each of the 15 Olympics in which it has been held.

Caeleb Dressel, who competed in the butterfly event, now has five gold medals at these Olympics.
To begin the race, Ryan Murphy won his third medal of the Games in the backstroke, while Andrew Michael won his first-ever Olympic medal in the breaststroke.

Zach Apple, the anchor, won his second gold medal of the Games in the swimming freestyle.
Three of the five swimming events held on Sunday morning were won by Team USA, while the other two were won by Australia.
